Brand new front and rear set of Progress Tech Anti-Roll bars for RX-8. Never used still in boxes.

They also do EBC discs (not zinc plated) for both front and rear of the RX8-

They might be worth phoning to see if they will do zinc plating for both front and rear?

Oh yes! They look sweet! When they do rust, do you get the rust ring on the inside of the rear alloys?? This is one of the main reasons I'm upgrading. Can't stand that rust ring!!

I sent them a message asking if they had an option for zinc coating and he said they already were zinc coated...
Do they give any better braking? Also, why isn't there a smaller hole on the hub for the screw(s)?

The EBC discs I bought from this same web site were not zinc plated. This was about 2 years ago. I did ask them why the pictures online showed zinc plated discs. Long story short it seems that they buy/import the blank discs from the USA and plating/painting or machining or whatever is carried out inhouse in the UK. As regards why mine were not plated they said "it's because that is the way the Americans prefer them".
I am happy with the fit which is perfect and at least match the OEM disc quality.
So maybe they have decided to plate all discs now. Zinc plated discs should not show any rusty ring where the pads don't touch.
As for the picture on their web site, it probably is not an actual disc for the RX8 but simply a photo to show what the product looks like. The discs are of a good quality but I honestly don't think I got any better stopping power from the discs alone.
I also changed the brake pads from stock pads to Hawk HP+ (very aggressive braking and needed warming up also dusty/noisy) and Hawk Ceramic (low dust and not hard on your discs). Both these pads are way superior to stock.

Few questions re: CEL and front grills
Hi,
Few questions
1. Im currently getting a CEL(CEL P0420), and have been for quite a while. My local mazda garage thinks I need to buy a "Front heated oxygen sensor" from them for €650. Anyone know a good website where I could get one online, and a good garage to fit it in Ireland? Its no guarantee that will solve my problem, but the car is running grand, with no power loss/mis-firing issues.
2. Mazda touch-up paint- Once again, anyone know a website that will deliver a small can to ireland, the few that I have checked won't deliver because its a compressed can. Maybe Im looking in the wrong places.
3. Anybody bought front grills for their rx8.

The front HO2S could also just be loose. P0420 is a CEL for "Catalyst system efficiency below threshold". I recently changed my front HO2S and it was a doddle. No need to go to a Mazda dealer or garage. It's a simple DIY. Only thing is you have to disconnect the wiring harness by hand i.e. you won't be able to see it. A good idea is to have a look at the one that goes into the cat. It's the same type of connection so you can see how to disconnect it.
As bse said, Mazmart is one place to go. Also you could try www.rotaryfx.com (US site) and www.mazdarotaryparts.com (English site). Clive in MRP is a top man to deal with.
Rotaryfx have the touch-up paint but it's not in a can, it's like a bottle of nail varnish. That's where I got mine but be warned, it is NOT a perfect colour match.

Hi all,
I'm soon going to be getting my alloys refurbished by a company in Carlow town. My problem is that I would like to get the colour as close as possible to the OEM 18" paint and I would like to know if there's anyone here who would be willing to meet me in carlow on the day to get the colour right.

Yeah, I'm an RX8 owner here in Dublin. I'm looking for some honest advice from any other owners. I've been messed around by Mazda main dealers too much. I'm not able to do work on my rx myself, but looking for someone who knows the rx, is HONEST, and would be willing to help here !!!

Hey,
I'm a Newbie owner in Dublin. Just bought a 2006 RX8 last week and had it for all of 1 night before I discovered I had this issue where it wont start when the engines warm :-( Dealer I bought it from has it booked in with Mazda for next Wednesday. Please tell me if they fix this issue I wont be faced with a long line of future 'issues'!!!
