Engine Failure - help please

Hi,

I could do with some guidance please.

I am currently waiting for the Financial Ombusdmen to sort out my car with a warranty company, who are refusing to pay up on a Warranty, as I only had the car for a month before I had serious car problems.

This has nearly been a year now, and I have decided to get the car fixed myself as I can't wait any longer for the Ombudsman to get their act together.

Basically, does anyone know a company near Nottingham that would be able to fit or fix a new engine to my Mazda. I took the car to a Mazda dealership, and the report is below in blue.

The Mazda dealer said there was a place in Chesterfield that could help, but thats all the info I received.

Hope you can help, thanks in anticipation.

Carried out investigation into temperature guage going high.

Removed header tank cap and found with this removed water was spilling out at a force indicating an engine fault.

Carried out further investigation and found lack of power. Carried out compression checks and found low compression, also found water in the engine rotas. Found staining around the water pump indicating a leak from the internal impellar seal.

It is quite obvious that the engine has major internal failure.

Try asking on the UK RX8 owners forum, they will be able to help.

This looks like a bad problem (water in the housings). If your car's covered with warranty then you should be done for 0£. Did you purchase this new or used? From a private or from a vendor?
All this legal infos could help determine what you will need to do.
If you have to pay for it i would suggest that you visit hurley or jimmy's, they should do great works.
Rotaryart.co.uk has got brand new engines for cheap too.

I really hope that this helps.

Thanks for the response.
I bought the car privately and got a warranty straight away. I'd had the warranty 1 month, and then had problems with the car, the warranty company said I'd not had it long enough and would not be paying out. How ridiculous!

Thanks for the contact names.

I'm sorry i can't be of any further help, even telling you where to buy an engine here in italy would turn out to be really expensive because of shipping costs.
