Congrats and Regrets!

Hi All

Just want to say Congrats to all those who ordered their cars and for all those lucky people who are beginning to get them! I registered in April and did not come to a decision...now I'm wishing I'd ordered - would have been picking it up soon!

Got called from Mazda asking if I wanted a test drive, hopefully I'll come to a decision then!

For anybody who had a TT, from your test drive or if you have received your car already, is it an adequate replacement? That's the other car it's up against - although it would have to be a used TT because of the extra cost! I'm also waiting with baited breath about the mpg!

Cheers all.

I've not owned a TT, but I have driven a 225TT plenty. Otheres on here have owned 225TT's.

Its like chalk and cheese. And I'm 100% chuffed I'll be driving an RX8 soon.

Real seats in the back. Better performance, more fun, better handling, quicker stopping. The TT's engine sounds like a tractor in comparison.

Only down point is MPG IMO.

Rob - thanks for that, I must admit, my main gripes with the RX8 are the mpg and possible depreciation hit, but certainly on depreciation, you would never buy a decent car if you always looked at that!

I've always wanted a TT for ages now, but having seen the RX8, one of the attractions is that it's so new and different - TT's are becoming a little common now.

Cheers

I borrowed a 225TT for two weeks. Just to add to RobDickinson's comments:

RX8: Better ride, more visibility, not so claustrophobic, not as noisy on the motorway, better stereo

Ok, I owned a 225TT Coupe. My comments;

RX8.
More "feel", better brakes, better engine note, more room in the back, less common (for now), better value for money.

TT
Better quality of materials, fantatic in wet, slightly quicker in a straight line, and more push/kick in the lower revs, better dealers, and amazing residuals (I sold mine for 81% after 2 years and 30,000 miles)
