Again, speaking to my dealer he seemns very confused and I seem to know a lot more than he does.

However, he is suggesting that the vel red will come in 'micra' which is not metallic and metallic is not an option. Anybody shed any light on this?

Velocity Red is a 'mica' colour. It contains gold flecks in it.

It is classed as metallic for the pricing. i.e. you have to pay £300 for it. Actually the price list does say metallic/mica = £300 extra.

Of the 4 release colours only the black is non-metallic.

Seems wrong that you have to pay for a micra option which you cannot not choose. its micra and that is all presumably, not red without micra. Or...

'Mica' (not 'Micra' which is a small car :D ) is very similar to metallic.

It has three seperate layers which I think are the basecoat, the 'gold' flecs then the top laquer.

IMHO mica is nicer than plain metallic as it has more depth and can change colour a little in bright light.

It is a £300 cost option same as metallic.

If you want a solid colour only the black is available at the moment.
