Be careful if you are offered Easyguard

My dealer, Perry's Preston, offered the Easyguard paint protection system. I took up the offer and my car was treated prior to delivery.

I've only just noticed that under bright light conditions there are loads of swirls on the paintwork.

I believe the EasyGuard application involved a wash, dry, wash and then lacquer seal. I therefore cannot get through the seal to remove the swirls.

I only hope that this can be rectified by the dealer otherwise it's going to be an abbusive letter involving Mazda UK. Fingers crossed.

Oh by the way Blackpool Mazda Centre are offering a set of lux mats with every new RX-8. Perry's wanted to charge me for them and were so ackward about ordering them that I went to Blackpool and bought a set.

I thought Mazda offers Supaguard? Anyway, sorry to hear it hasn't turned out too well. I`m not going to bother with dealer paint protection, I currently use the maguirs 3 step process, and am happy with the results.

Dealer has agreed to take car back, strip all the protection off and reapply from scratch - at no cost to me.

I'd have got them to remove and not reaply!

cheers renegade. It's all getting redone on Saturday so if they make a mess of it this time then can stick it and I'll expect my £200 back.
