Anyone Recommend a good dealer in North West UK?
Hi just joined your merry band of rev heads. Cool site!
I've been gathering info on the RX8 (like to be prepared!) and hopefully will be off soon to a dealer to see if I can get a good(any) deal on a 230!
A while back a dealer did not want to give me any discount or decent trade in for my current car! My question then is has anyone managed to wangle a good deal or is it a Sellers market special - i.e its only been out a few weeks the mags rave about it theres a waiting list etc etc - either you pay full wack or get lost? Any north west dealers willing to meet you half way?
Thanks
P.S All you poor folks who have been waiting for yours for ages well get onto the dealers I see a transporter filled to the brim on the motorway every week now with them on! Blue and gunmetal seem to be the most popular colours!

There will be a lot of blue as that colour is just starting to be sold in the UK now (was not a launch colour).
I went to mazda warrington. Paid full list for the car, got shafted on trading for my old car, didnt get free mats, and only 1/4 of a tank of petrol.
For value for money I couldnt recomend them.

Well they probably had to stop every 50 miles to refuel and top up the oil - check the tyres wer'nt punctured and carry on till they got enough Nectar points at BP to buy a years supply of windscreen wash and yet more oil!
From seeing just a single 8 on the road about 4 weeks ago I still hav'nt seen any being driven they all seem to be on transporters! Is that good or bad I wonder?
I hope you get yours delivered soon and wish Santa can sort one out for me in the next few weeks!
Merry Christmas!

Thanks Rob thats the kind of attitude I got from a dealer near me - dont want to name them in case I cant get a better deal anywhere else?!!
Unfortunately Mazda dealers seem to be a bit short on the ground in the North West!
Anyone know if Stockport or Burnley are any good?

I just hope the service department is better than the sales, as my car has gone back for a new engine to be fitted

I bought mine from Stockport. Not a good expierence, phone calls not returned, passed around 4 different salesmen, no freebies just half a tank of petrol.
Looks like North Manchester and across to Yorkshire is the way to go - frankly I dont care where the dealer is I am prepared to travel as long as you get good service/deal!
It seems tranditional values still prevail - greed, more greed and mickey mouse service! I'm sure there is a gem out there waiting to be found - just think of the business it would receive and loyalty!
Eek! A new engine!! I wont ask - hope you get it sorted soon thanks for replying?

Try JCT600 Mazda Leeds
Should have gone last weekend (before Xmas) this weekend (before new year), but one thing and another I just did'nt get a chance ! Hope someone is'nt trying to tell me something!! By the time I order one, the mark 2 will be out!
Bit diappointed with the short sequence in Xmen 2 - poor Mazda bet you paid a fortune to get that in - not much RX8 to show for your money there - at least it did'nt get trashed like your average Bond car at the end I suppose?

Thanks all for advice - ordered it from Walker Farrimond Mazda in Blackburn in the end - they were okay with me but no discounts (of course - no one is as far as I know?).
I have to wait till the end of time before delivery but still keep seeing those RX8 's on transporters down the M60!! Very frustrating! Someone must be getting them?
Is it worth ordering abroad for the spare wheel kit with the exchange rate being advantageous at the mo - well dollars anyway? - £350 UK price is very steep for a space saver dont you think?

I also have a Winning Blue 230 on order from WF in Blackburn, due on the 1st March. I got no discount and a **** poor trade in (selling my Leon Cupra private when I get back from snowboarding a week on sunday)
