Anyone know of this product?

In the course of trawling the internet, looking for all things RX-8 related, I found a link to the following site and the blurb appears to be to good to be true.

Contacted Stuart Grimshaw of the Splashgroup, who appears knowledgable enough, but have any of you out there knowledge of this product, or of any similar paint protection system that is not wax based.

Although based in Derbyshire he is prepared to travel to most parts of the country, and does so on a regular basis doing three or four days at each area, ie South East, South West. he will be in Bishops Stortford at a Mercedes dealer in mid December.

Charges private individuals the same as dealers for the full treatment and prefers to do the job immediatley after PDI and travel wax removed but requests that no valeting, waxing etc done by dealer otherwise he has to remove this first.
Cost £165 per vehicle, not tried to negotiate any discount because (a) it seemed a reasonable sum and (b) many of you have your own preferences.

Sounds pretty good. Certainly cheaper than Mazda.

Come on you guys someone must know something about this or similar products. Surely one of you with a couple of 'A' levels will be able to through some light on the polymer and teflon bonding process?????????

Good or bad let me know your thoughts, or am I to be the guinea pig.

No rude comments relating to pigs thanks.

You could save yourself £115 and do it yourself

Did think of doing it myself, but downside to this is there is no one to blame if it goes wrong. In view of the paucity of comment on this issue maybe it's the wrong product anyway.

Although the dealership the guy is going to in December is Mercedes only so you would think that they would know if it's OK.

Will try and phone them Monday see if they will give me some feedback.

You may want to wait to see what Oilman can come up with in his quest to import Ziano from the US for RX8 club members before you commit to anything.

While Ziano will be a DIY job, the quality of the product is well established and it comes highly recommended.
