It will fuse to the stick? I know there are some heat concerns, but if you're fusing an aluminum **** to the shift lever you'd be melting a nylon insert.
Our **** does of course get hot and cold, but even during a 150+ miles of lapping in 80 degree weather it never got uncomfortably hot. A little warm, but nothing more than that. In some conditions such as the ones that cause gas tanks to melt on these cars (sitting in traffic in 100+ degree heat and direct sunlight), it will get pretty hot, but not on the level of fusing metal.

If twisting became a problem that might be a solution, but thus far in 1000+ miles of road testing and 200+ miles of track time there have been no issues with it coming loose. It does come with complete instructions, but just screw it on good and tight with your hand and that should do the trick.

I can't give you an exact number, but our **** is several ounces lighter than OEM. I'll see if I can get the exact weight between the two soon. As for shipping international, it would be around $10-15 to just about anywhere in the world via the US Postal Service.
Great Product
I received my **** today. Shipping was very quick. Thank you. The **** itself is first-class. The color of the aluminium matches the accents around the shifter. The touch of the **** feels very smooth and cool. The black and red decal goes very well with my red-black leather. The decal sinks perfectly into the top of the **** and can not be felt in the palm. I can recommend this product very highly to anyone. You won't regret it.
The only complaint I have is that the decal should be more RX-8 specific either with RX-8 or a rotary symbol on it. The manufacturer's identity does not need to shout from the top of the shifter. It should be more discreet.
Thank you!
Csaba

Glad you guys like it! Yes, overpackaged a bit, but you'd be amazed at what FedEx (or UPS, DHL, or USPS) can do do a box in transit. With our first branded product, the last thing I wanted to do was have them get beaten up by shipping companies!
As for what is on the decal, I would have loved to do something with a rotor on top of the ****, but there are multiple issues with doing that; not the least of which is trademark infringement.
Anyway, thanks for the positive reviews!

I don't think you have much to worry about with decal longevity. The 'decal' is actually an acrylic dome with a 1.5mm thick metal base. The **** is then cut out on top to match the depth of the metal base, and machined for a very close fit. So you've got adhesive holding it down, and then no way for it to move laterally. Only the acrylic dome part sticks out, and it nicely completes the ball-shape on top. We have yet to see really cold temps when testing the ****, but in 105 degree heat lapping at Hallett all day nothing budged.
I would have preferred engraving something on top, but that would require the **** be redesigned to use a nylon insert like OEM. Otherwise you can't guarantee how it'll line up. We may try something like that down the road, but it won't be any time soon. Thanks for the input!
