Nice love seeing more rx8's drifting. I'll be getting another one shortly to continue some fun grassroots drifting. Here's an old pic of me spinning out i believe. Learned alot of do's and don'ts in this rx8 cant wait for the next one is going to be more stylish and faster.
are all you guys running 1.5 or 2 way diffs? especially those of you without FI setups? Just curious. This thread makes me jelly.
Welded diff, but will be upgrading to a 2 way LSD... Sometime in the future. Crashed into the wall the other day and blew my side seal shortly after because I'm an idiot lol.
Stock diff really does the job just fine and is preferable if you are wanting to do more than drifting (like auto x or road course etc..)
^^ either my motor is making half the power it should or I'm just not going fast enough. Granted I only try in the rain and slower speeds because I cant afford new tires every week and I also cant afford to crash my car so perhaps that has something to do with it. Maybe it's better on dry pavement but I'm not impressed with the factory diff. the power placement is all over the place. Great for stability/circuit racing no doubt but horrible for drifting.
