On the Bench

I have decided to create this thread to try to keep current with what is being worked on at the moment. Each entry will be separate from the next so that editing the “current” post will not be as difficult to determine when it was done, etc.

Each post will be dated in the header and progress will be posted as to what is being processed, what difficulties I am having with them, what is being prepared for going “On the Bench”.

Today is 3/9/05.

On the bench is:

1 set of six strakes in the process of modifying the upper strakes to fit mounting.
4 sets of 4 strakes in the process of having the mounting tape placed on them and being packed for shipment.
4 Oil Cooler Grilles with fog light accents combination in the process of being packed for shipment.
2 Oil Cooler Grilles without fog ligh accents in the process of being packed for shipment.
4 front accents in the process of being resanded for clear coat application before aluminum finishing.
4 rear accents 1 in process of getting mounting tape applied and then packed. 3 in process of being refinished.
Third Brake Light mask. Ready for packing.

Up next...(by Friday)
4 sets of 4 strakes being readied for sanding. If all goes well, these will be finished by Saturday and will be ready for mounting tape and packing.
4 rear accents ready for sanding and refinishing.
4 front accents ready for sanding and refinishing.
4 sets of Oil Cooler Grilles
2 sets of Fog Light accents for Oil Cooler Grilles
1 set of Fog Light accents to be used for installation as stand alone.

I know you are swamped. I put in a order for accents and strakes and just want to confirm you recieved it in your paypal account. I don't see any activity on my card. Aslo, i just ordered rims, can you look at this picture and tell me if the accents and strakes are this finish? If not I need to change the order and pay the extra dough. I am sure with your workload you have time to change mine.

Well, the standard color is a bright shiny surface. I cannot tell if those are dark chrome or not. They look bright chrome. The strake colors in the gray scale that I make look like the ones posted below. I have added a dark chrome color that is very nice looking. They are from left to right, dark chrome, aluminum, Gun Metal Mica and Wheel silver.

The next set are pics of each at a closer shot.

I had to get different rims. The ones I ordered are black ice otherwise known as hyperblack I think. I am sure the standard color will be fine. Been a while since i ordered but i haven't got a confirmation or order number. Is that normal?

On the bench about ready to be finished...
These turned into this batch:

5 rear accents
6 front accents
4 sets of four set strakes (one in wheel silver)
1 set of six set strakes
3 sets of Oil Cooler Grilles
2 sets of Fog Light Accents
1 aluminum finish fog light accent

Busy Thursday night set me back as I was in the emergency room from 5:15 PM until almost midnight with a family member.

Up next to be finished mid week...
4 sets of four set side strakes, one in lightening yellow
1 set of Six set side strakes
2 sets of fog light accents, one in aluminum finish, one in lightening yellow
4 oil cooler grilles
4 rear accents
4 front accents

will there be order #'s posted as well?

Ojn these, no. However, on the other thread, yes. This is just a progress report on items being worked on at present. I try my best to go in order of the que as everything is now progressing at a better rate of speed.
