Winter

Hi everyone.
I just got my 8 last month...I am wondering if you guys will drive the RX8 with standard tire in winter..or should I change a winter tire....coz I am living in Toronto....we got lots of snow in winter time......

if you do a search on winter tires in the Cnadian forum, you will find all the info you need on this subject.

Do NOT use your summer tires. Here's a thread (with a video) of a fellow who demonstrates how "effective" summer tires are in the snow. It's actually quite entertaining.

I think in the tire section, there's a sticky with for winter tires and useable rims (even with pics!)

Just picked up my Blizzak LM25's today. I threw them on my stock rims... most I hear buy 17" since that's what I saw on the road last winter (Before I bought my car) and it's the package my dealership was pitching me on. If I had to buy a second set of rims I figured I'd go with some nice silver ASA 19's for the summer which I got a great deal on.

I'd be interested to hear any feedback with winter rubber on 18's if anyone has experience.

PLEASE do a search in this section on 'WINTER' or 'winter tire' - there are dozens of threads here discussing exactly what you've asked.

AFTER ;) reading through those, please feel free to post any other questions you might have! :D

Regards,
Gordon

thx guys...guess I have to find a place to store my summer tires then... :o

Some places will store them for you, probably for free if you buy the winters from them. OK Tire does this.
