Who wants to do my spark plugs?

Anyone wants to help me do a mini tune up?:)

maitre 06-12-2013 11:29 AM

And me too, while you're at it? :D

Unfortunately I doubt I can offer the same incentives as Leesha ...

Lol it can turn into a mini shoot too. ^^^ you can join. Lmao. :lol2: For real though I want someone to show me how it's done.

200.mph 06-12-2013 11:54 AM

take a ride to pa and ill show ya.

Brettus 06-12-2013 12:08 PM

hmmmmm - it would only cost me about $10,000 to whip over there and do that for you Leesha .

See you next weekend !

Neo 06-12-2013 12:15 PM

Leesha is back!!
Long time no hear. How is the little one?

You know we can make a meet out of it. Catch up on good old times.
How about it Dougy? Andrew? Ed? Rick?

Name the time you're available, and we'll round up the troops. It's easy to do, but its best done when the car hasn't been run. Gets awfully warm back there.
Otherwise, we can wait a bit to get it somewhat cooled down before attempting to change it out.

Cool?

Ka Kui 06-12-2013 01:06 PM

I need to change mine as well. First time changing in my 8

wcs 06-12-2013 01:10 PM

I'm on vacation next week!

Will there be beer?

Brett: lmao wish I had cash like that laying around! Lol

I say a meet sounds good. There'll me where & what parts to purchase. Or you guys can bring them & I will pay you back. Lol

I want my belts checked out too. Who can update my flash?

WCS I don't want you working on my car drunk! Lmao

Rotary-RX8 06-12-2013 02:21 PM

where you located ?

I can do it for you if youre local :uhh:

Neo 06-12-2013 02:53 PM

Believe it or not, Scotty works better when he gets a few beers in him. lol

Ok, so just a set of plugs and some minor checks of the belts.
Programming the ECU I think can only be done at the dealer. Unless these guys have the hook up already???

What's your schedule look like?? This weekend is a bust. But next weekend should be alright.

canadianeh 06-12-2013 07:08 PM

I'm in the Ottawa Area, I usually have parts laying around or can source most quickly.

Send me a ticket Doze. :)

canadianeh 06-12-2013 08:29 PM

I wasn't aware that post count indicated my level of skill. :)

Ive done all my own work on my 2004 mt gt 8. Spark plugs are trivial.

It usually is :( I have just over 100 posts so I must not know anything about my new ignition, REVi air duct, Koni/Tein suspension, Racing Beat sway bars, RE-medy water pump and T-stat, Hawks HP+ pads, Race Ready exhaust cutout, Sohn OMP adapter, air pump delete, upgraded starter, 3-inch midpipe, or Exedy HD Clutch that I've all installed in-house on my 127K mile '04 MT :suspect:

But 100+ post users are usually qualified to rotate tires ;)

Ca$$ada91 06-13-2013 07:06 AM

2003 rx-8

Does anyone know if 2004 parts or later will work on a 2003?

Neo 06-13-2013 07:18 AM

All parts are the same except for the last revision the car received near the end of production.
So yes, 04 parts will work on an 03 model.

Leesha,

Ill check with my parts guy how much the plugs will cost.
Do we have anyone in the west that could spare their garage with some tools??
