I'm not going to markham.. I'm going to scarboro

You won't get a discount, but if you continue to do it there, you wil get preferential treatment when shit hits the fan and you really need help with your car. Treat them kind and they will treat you kind.
ALso, why do 3000km? It's hard to remember. The mazda recommended is 8000km. I do every 4000km, so every other one is done at the dealership (car is still warranty brand new 2007). 4000km is half of 8000km so it's easy to keep track! |

Does that mean you divide everything else by 2. For example the 24, 000 km service, you do it at 12000km ? I'm a little confused of how to divise a good schedule cause I'm just assuming the previous owner (being a mechanic) kept up. |
No, you do the scheduled B maintenance as according to the manual. On the side, every 4000km you do an oil change. You'll find that all the scheduled maintenance kilometerages are divisable by 4000, therefore, you will never find a conflict. ALL scheduled maintenances require mandatory oil change, so you're covered when one of your 4000km factors lie on a service date.

I wanted to meet this Anthony guy for myself. Good guy and great service. 2 thumbs up for scarboro mazda. Now about my pads and rotors. I was thinking of buying the parts and doing it myself ? Is this hard. I was even thinking of getting performance ones cause sooner or later I'm going to upgrade anyway.

yooo Rotary-RX8, were u also at scarb mazda this morning? I was there too getting my oil change! my appt was at 8:30 adn stayed there until 10ish. and it was Anthony that did it! |
Yup !! I think I saw a silver 8 parked outside. That mightve been you.
yup that's my baby! :) were u also at the waiting area? i was bored outta my mind LOL.
Yeaa .. What can you do lol. Nothing else you can do.
Fuck (excuse my language) but im a little pissed about my pads and rotors having to be replaced. The price is insane. Im thinking of buying the parts (even good slotted rotors and hawk pads) and either doing the change myself or having a buddy of mine do it for me. Any input or suggestions ? :(
Definitely DIY. You can get better parts for less money.
Do SS lines and speed bleeders while you're in there. Cheap and easy! |
In my driveway.
I'm a bit worried. How long do you guys think 2 mm of pad on my fronts will last me. I'm gna order my rotors and hawk pads soon. I downshift a lot, and hardly brake hard. Help. I don't want it to go to metal to metal.
If you truly only have 2mm then you need to get the brakes changed VERY soon. If there is that little pad left it can flake off and you'll be in a metal on metal situation. That said, cars will stop in such situations, but it's not good for the rotors (which you'll be replacing).
So if it does go to the situation that it goes metal to metal .. It should be okay right cause ill be replacing the rotors ans get new pads .. Will it damage anything else. I dont know what to do. Like can i afford using these pads for a couple more weeks while i wait for the new pads and rotors to come in or what ? Help please
If the rotors got nothing wrong all you need is change the pads....
They said its "recommended" that I change both at the same time.
I just called Mark to find out how much it would be to change ONLY my front pads. He estimated 360 bucks !!! Does this see right to you guys ? He said the calipers need to be lubricated , but thats as easy as putting brake cleaner on it. But 360 ??? DAMNNN
