:lol2: it's easier than that. U have a US one too? What have you been doing for your DRLs then:Wconfused

Mine is Canadian. If you read my sig, you can see how much use I have got out of it so far

Right now it has a burnout high beam (getting replaced for free), but I would rather have the DRL be my fog lights.

Damn man what the hell?? Why has it been in the shop so much?

I think the fog lights for DRLs is the way to go for many reasons.

well the 8 I am thinking of getting is from a dealer(not a mazda dealer just a used car dealer) so I believe all of the requirements need to be done before they give me the car i.e Day time running lights, etc

First after I bought it it needed bodywork to fix a scraped fender. Then they had to replace the brake pads all around and new rotors up front to pass safety. It wouldn't start all the time so the sent it to Mazda. Mazda thought it was the CAT, so they replaced it. It still didn't work right so they did a test, and the engine was dead. So I had to wait for the new engine to go in. I finally got it and the sterring wheel was slighty crocked (they put it on wrong after the engine install) and I had a misfire CEL flashing at moderate to high RPMs. So I took it back two days ago and now I am waiting to hear back from them.

Since RX-8 is not build in North America, expect to add 6% NAFTA duties on top of the usual contribution to the Prime Minister's and Premier's salary.

Nice GL...hopefully no more problems.

As for the FOG lights as your DRLs, you main DRLs will still be on. If you want to disconnect them, have to find the harness under the passenger side glove box.

or just the fuse should do...lol.

Interesting, Thumper you seem to know a lot about the headlight wiring system.

Haha...I wouldn't go that far, just the experience I have gotten from dealing with my own and reading lots on this forum. Enjoy doing mods on my own instead of paying stupid money for someone else to do it. But I know my limits :)

The Jetta is produced in Mexico under NAFTA. It meets US standards, and is considered a "Domestic Car". The Mazda6's are built in Flat Rock Michigan - again a Domestic. The Subaru Foresters I think are Japanese-built. I don't recall seeing one so, you'd have to ask Subaru....

There are lots of cars equipped with OEM HIDs that do not have headlight washers. Doesn't take hard to search.
