wat do you guys use for winter?

I was just wondering if you guys go down to 16's for the winter, i want to get stock RX8 rims for my mazda3, but i was just interested to know if you guys use smaller rims in the winter that way I am post a WTT in the classifieds... i have 16's alloys with Nokian AWR on them. V rated too.. great IF Rx8s can run on 16's for the winter.

You can't run 16" wheels on Canadain RX8's

Surely you did a search right? Lots of stickies too.

Like Rotten said, can't do 16's. Brakes too big and will rub. Most of us go with 17's for winters. I think on auto 8's you may be able to squeeze a 16 but I'm not sure.

19s on z rated tires.. for the real canadian winters we get here!!!! :hahano:

I go down to 15"s.. .mind you they are attached to my Ford Ranger 4x4 while the 8 sits in the garage for 4 months. :)

Thanks for the info :)

Or you can do what I did:

Spend lots of money on winter rims, and Michellin pilot sports (17"), and have your wife decide she will park the car all winter! Lol. :banghead:

I run 16's, but that's on my old '90 Talon, which is my winter beater. On a side note I just brought my 8 out of storage today

Happy, Happy... Joy, Joy!
