Tachometer on startup

I remember from starting another 8 that the tach right when the car starts up goes to 10k and then goes back to the idle speed (same as the Subaru's on startup). My car doesn't seem to do that, can't find anything in the forum about that but does anyone have a clue how to make it work again, looks cooler that way. Thx guys

It doesn't do that on the 8

I would surely hope it doesn't do that at startup..... who wants a cold engine spinning to such high revs before settling back down?

it is just a guage test

Oh right. :o
Sort of a self calibration mode, like the Defi gauges?

yea, that's what I was talking about, the tach does that movement but it has nothing to do with the engine rpms. How do you turn that feature back on?

I don't think it ever existed on the 8
