I'd say wait till end of march...depends on where you are though, if it's warm enough then sure. But here in Toronto, not yet =( still below zero right now, supposed to go up to 16 C tomorrow but it'll probably drop again soon.

Temps for the next 5 days are showing consistency over 60 here in MO (that's saying a lot). My new tires come in tomorrow, and the first autocross event is in 3 weeks... gotta get them broken in, so they're going on ASAP!

schnipster, summer tires should come out when temps are over 7 degrees for good. summer tires do not work well and traction is very unpredictable under 7 degrees. even if its warm during the day the temps are still dropping alot at night you could be in trouble if you go out late and try some spirited driving.

Right now actually I'm just worried that it's too warm for my winter tires, it's 16 C today in toronto, but it's supposed to drop back down in a week or so? at least I'm expecting it to.

At least I'm not the only one...

As much as I hate the tires I have, they will not slide unless I'm really, really trying to. In actual snow they are useless but they grip better in the cold than my winters when things are dry.

did you guys that jumped the gun hear the forcast for monday? be careful guys. yestarday morning i almost got stuck at a timmies drive throw. they had a cobblestone walkway that was sort of in a rut. anyways, it was all iced over. i had to stop with my rear tires right on it. went to pull forwards and spun the living hell of out my wheels and just sat there. and that was with my winters still on. you guys that are worried about burning your winters up....they arent made of butter. a couple weeks in a little warmish weather wont hurt them. although summer tires that are all frozen up and hard as a rock may wear strangly because they are all chunked up.
