Actually there were many 8's this time........

Footman 05-18-2009 07:51 PM

The parking lot arrangement was a little poorly arranged, but that's what you get I guess with random people showing up at different times...

Ka Kui, are these events coordinated by any body, or is it just a "post on the forum and come people" kinda thing? The turn out on Sunday was spectacular and I wished we were able to line up all the cars in some form of a "grid" sorted by generation of RX-family cars. We had an RX-3 there, and the newest R3 RX-8... would have been cool if possible.

Ka Kui 05-18-2009 08:06 PM

Hey Footman, it's just a "post on forum and come people" kinna thing, i guess...... since FD and some FC are being stored in winter, so when summer comes, everyone willing to come out. I agree that parking arrangement is poor, and since it's a massive group of people, and ppl arrive in different time, so it's hard to line them up in sequence... I hope we can line them up as well... hope ppl aware of that...

rotarygreg 05-18-2009 08:17 PM

well in retro-spect those of us from KW should have thought about that. I mean we were the first ones there and had an FC, 2 FDs, and my FE about 2 mins before anyone else showed up. We could have parked all across the lot to sort of group everyone together by model but meh. its not that big of a deal IMO. its a social thing first, the pics are secondary right? Still, something to keep in mind for next time. Its something that has to be done before everyone is already there. Can you imagine trying to organize/ move all those cars after they are already parked all mixed up? It would take forever. Next time the 7 club sets one up, I'll bring it up. We can do an MS paint map of the lot so people have an idea of what years park where-ish as a guideline for pictures.

Mazda_RX804 05-18-2009 08:39 PM

i should have the pics posted this week, they are all hi-res so it may take some time

JDK 05-18-2009 08:46 PM

I was talked to the security people earlier in the day and they had asked me if the meet got any bigger to move it further east in the same parking lot, their main concern was not to disturb the paying customer's. I agree with Footman, it would have been nicer to have the cars all lined up in a long row…..next time.

Mazda_RX804 05-18-2009 08:47 PM

oh yeah WTF was there NO CRUISE!!!

That detour was stupid though, but I managed to catch up to Andrew.
