Question about rx8 seats

I was wondering if anybody could tell me the mounting dimensions of an rx8 front seat (spacing of the bolt holes). I'm looking to buy a set of seats (aswell as a set of wheels) but would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out.

BTW if you know of anyone selling their seats please let me know.

I should be able to get you some seat measurement either today or tomorrow. Something to keep in mind the seats in the RX-8 does not bolt flat to the floor. You can get somewhat of an idea from the photo of an aftermarket seat bracket I have. That bracket bolts to the OEM holes. Attaching a aftermarket seat in an RX-8 requires a custom bracket.

Nope, I use Kirkey Racing seats for track days ( long story , search for Kirkey and you will find the threads)

One thing to keep in mind almost all aftermarket seats have a somewhat level base so the goal of the seat bracket is to provide as level as possible base while being able to mount to the OEM bolt holes. While not accurate to the mm these measurements give you an idea on how a custom bracket would mount.

This is the front of a drivers side seat, measurements are from bolthole center.

1 – 2: 16 5/8”
1 – 4: 15”
2 – 3: 13 ¼”
4 – 3: 18 5/8”

#3 is 1” lower than #4
1 & 2 are 2 ½” lower than the cross bar they are attached to.

thanks for the info.

I'm still looking for a set of RX8 seats, shifter knob and wheels. But when I find a set of seats, I guess I'll just custom fab up a bracket.

thanks
