yah i have recived it already my dad is really good at getting things brand new

they didnt really elaborate on much except that there were defective parts on my 8

and quick question even on my new one when i warm it up i wait till it hits 1/2 way to the middle when i put my car into drive or reverse it makes a very weird noise it made the same noise on my last one

its very odd someone has to be in the car to hear it anyone up for it... i need to figure out what it is... it happens everytime i start the car and move it... but only than when im driving it never does it... and quick question they say that to keep ur 8 longer to rev it at higher rpms than 2 or 3? is that true... and about the break in period how slow and soft should u take it on ur 8

ive been doing nothing over 4000 rpm and slow accelration driving like a granny and i havent been keeping my speed the same just like the manual says plz help me answer all my dumb questions thank you u help me solve ur problems ill buy u lunch :P no not as a date... :P lol

 

guy, that noise is normal, it's the ABS system doing a valve-check and purge or something. extremely well documented on this site. any time that you have a problem with the car, go to the tech garage section, have a look around (especially on the list of Technical Service Bulletins).

you seem to be breaking your RX-8 in just fine, it's not rocket science, just a period of low strain use for all the components to bed-in.


and to get this thread back on-topic and the reason i posted again is to say that i'll be getting my slides back TOMORROW. so, Yuceif or other Andrew or anybody who has a scanner, get in touch with me and we'll figure out how to scan these slides (at as high a quality as possible) and post them... make Vancouver the envy of the RX-8 world (i'm very confident they'll come out great).

 

i got a scanner if u need to use it.. ur welcome to come over or i can grab um and scan um for you

OK I FINALLY HAVE THE SLIDES!!! AND HOLY CRAP THEY'RE AS GOOD AS I COULDA HOPED!!!

so i've got ummm... 11 slides that i'd want to scan... does anyone have a scanner that they know will scan slides/film negs (these are coloured, brilliantly i might add, slides)??? i have photoshop (and experience with it) here at home, but i have tried and tried to scan slides here at home on my archaic Epson to no avail (and usually broke down and had very expensive and not-great prints made of my slides to scan).

so, lil' help?? Andrew?? Yuceif (i'm sure i'm not spelling that correctly... just remember you saying "you-seph, with a 'Y' ")?? anybody here in Van??? just tell me where and when and we'll get to gether ASAP. there are a few i feel are exceptional which i always felt would be (our arrangement in front of the mountains with the starry sky), and some which were a grand surprise (some of the shots at sunset in the lot by the school were really nice).

seriously, we HAVE to get these digitized so we might share the wealth. one picture in particular i took with the "RX-8 Club - Vancouver" cards in mind, and came out super good too.

So Wakeech and Hitmann got the pics from the slides and transfered them to disc, he is photoshopping a few pics to fix outside interferance, as well as watching the game right now, so, hopefully he will have them on here tonight.
