New Dyno In Pickering

There is a new shop that has opened in pickering with a Mustang Dyno (not for the car mustang, but the brand name of the dyno!). It is an amazing machine that tell lets you run 1/4 mile and give you ET and MPH, 0-60 etc, it also simulates real road conditions like uphill downhill. From what I understand it is one of the most if not the most accurate dyno on the market. The owners are friends of mine that I race with. If requested I will post their name and address. For more info on the dyno go to www.mustangdyne.com and look up performance dynos then IMP series.

Something to keep in mind, these dynos are very accurate with load on the engine etc., so dont be disappointed if your numbers are lower than expected. From what I read these can read up to 30% LESS than a DYNOJET dyno. The nice thing is Mustang Dyno's are accurate and consistent, so if you make changes you can see what the change has done, and it will be the same on each time you use it. I have had my car on different DYNOJETS without making changes to the car and been up to 20 horsepower different, sometimes on the same dyno but a different day. Have fun and post the 1/4 mile times if you chose that option!!

The RX club did a dyno day last year and IIRC it was $40 for one pull. Keep your eyes open for this years dyno day.

Mike it was $40 for 2 pulls, and some were lucky to get 3.

I think the MD dyno (mustang dyno) will be more than that per pull, as it is very expensive to operate compared to a dynojet. Dont forget it will give you 1/4 times etc if you want them!
