After a few months of trying to decide what car, and another month of seraching I'm finally the owner of a Rx-8!
The vehicle will be in Calgary in about 3-4 weeks (coming from montreal) and I'll be driving it in March.


Here is what I got:

2006 White Rx-8
GT Package
Sunroof

So every option except for the navigation unit, really wanted it but I can live without it.

The mileage on the car is about 30k.

Total with shipping ect was $25.5k

I think i got a good deal considering the only cars in Calgary going for ~25k were higher mileage 2005s.

what do you guys think?

Congratulations. Interesting colour, don't see many whites so you will be unique. I've heard some bad things about the nav so not a big deal you didn't get it.

 

Never buy a car from Quebec unless you were there to evaluate it personally. Quebec is notorious with questionable car histories when comes to used cars.

 

Car was inspected, clean title and i did a carfax report aswell.

What do you mean by questionable car histories? Like the carfax report doesn't show that it was in an accident or something?

 

yeah no big deal about nav,

i have a garmin 750 which works much better, just like the whole integrated aspect of the factory nav system.

 

I have a white 8 too! it is a rare colour, as I have only seen one other at the dealer and none on the road yet.

I got a white one with full MS kit and Interior! However i have seen another one with the MS kit a few days ago he had the white as well.

 

Would it be a pain to have that kit on a daily driver? It would be rediculous in the winter time I am sure.

To be honest I didnt want one with the MS package. I like how it looks but I couldn't use the car as a daily driver with that on it.

carfax does not record anything if the previous owner decides to fix it themselves. Anyhow it's a moot point. You already bought it. Enjoy the car. I think it is an urban myth at Ontario against the Quebecors.
