You aren't the first - and all their knowledge/experience is here.

Look around, and search 'flooded'.

NEVER leave your keys!! PPL just don't know!

Pull the fuel relay fuse, cranck it and when it wants to go have someone put it back in. Also do the mazda deflooding procedure.

Got my car running! Had to pull the plugs and de flood engine. Took about an hour of my time but my baby is running now.
Should I change out the plugs, they didn't look too bad, but should I change them just to be safe?

its a good idea to change them after they've been flooded regarless of whether or not they "dont look to bad". They become saturdated in fuel. Unless the plugs are fairly new (as in like less than 10 000km on them) i wouldnt even concider putting flooded plugs back in after its running again. also, congrats on deflooding your 8.

you can clean flooded plugs, just let them air dry! Fuel will evaporate!
