Mudguards

Has anyone installed the factory Mazda mudguards or deflectors. I'm driving year round and the entire side of car is covered in road crap and the rear fenders are being sandblasted as they stick out a bit. I am certainly considering these if the prices aren't prohibitive.

I have them front and back. I think they look great and they do protect decently. They are moulded to fit exactly and I would recommend them.

Hmmm, I thought I posted a reply yesterday, but I guess I screwed up... anyway -

I installed the splash guards, front and rear, last fall (14 months ago). They do a good job of reducing crud on the side of the car and rear bumper. I like the appearance of the rear guards, not quite so keen on the bulkier appearance of the fronts, but I'm getting used to them. I posted this thread with pictures last year after the installation, you can see up close how they look/fit. I'd definitely recommend them.

Regards,
Gordon

Made a big difference for me. I bought my 8 on January and it was raining still around that time. Without the mudguards, my 8 looked so dirty after driving through the rain. Now, even weeks of driving around rain, the sides and the rear end are still clean.

Add me to the recommendations. Installed the splashguards (front/rear) shortly after purchasing the 8. (Seattle this time of year is a mess.) They do a great job of keeping the crap off the doors and the rear fender. Not a big fan of the "appearance" package, so the rear splash guards were a viable option.

Purchased mine mailorder from Rosenthal Mazda (through this site.) Excellent service and prompt delivery. Had them installed by the dealer. Somewhat pricey installation at 2.5 hours of labor but the installation does require a bit of work.

I got them from finishlineperformance.com (Rosenthal right?). You can easily install them yourself. It took me 30 minutes to do the whole thing.
