Just baught our new car!

Whats up fellas..... Just got back home from the dealer today... We pulled the trigger on an 09 Audi A5.

We have a 530 that will be going back on lease this June and my dad was looking for something a bit more sporty.

We spec'd it as follows:

09 A5 3.2 Quatro
Auto / Tiptronic
Ibis White on full black interior (including head liner)
Tech Package (Adaptive head lights / smart key / Home Link)
S Line package (front / rear / side Facia / Sport suspension / 19 inch wheel)
Bang & Olufsen sound system
Park assist Package with side and rear cameras.

Long wait though... 7 Months!

Rems,
Have you not seen what Kris has done to his 8?? He has to have all the gadgets! lol

I love the new Audi A5/S5.

A very sexy machine.

Drinks a bit of fuel if you take the S5 model. Otherwise a very worthy competitor to the 3 series coupe.

I would definitely take the A5/S5. Audi has got a killer interior in all their models for this year. I was blown away how nice their interiors are.

baller=)...lol

I'd love the s5.....but I'd still take a 335Ci.....I don't care for the interior as much as the outside styling.

Thanks fellas,

I was shopping in the states for one as well, we would have jumped on the S5 in a heartbeat if we could have found one within a reasonable time in the states. But we couldnt have wait 12-14 months for one... Yup thats the waiting time on the S5's.

from what i have gathered from the dealers across Canada is that they received an inventory of 350 A5's for all of Canada. so not much available.

As for the park assist, My dad figured for the price (450) its hardly an impact on the price, so might as well take it.

I will bring it out to one of our meets if we have a fall meet!

We have a 530 right now, the 335ci was our first option, than the ISF but after driving the 335CI it was a bit on the smaller side.. Its a phenomenal car and still the benchmark for sports coupe's but its just too common now.

The ISF styling was a bit too gimmicky, even though the power is there. We also had an ES350 and GS300 before, so the dealers were willing to work a deal with us on it. But dunno... the styling was a bit childish.

the 335 was the only other car we were seriously considering.

mmm.... B&O.

The A5 looks great on the road. It's so new that it's one of those "what's that?!" cars.

So this is your dad's new car?

yes this is my fathers car, not mine.

you know whats funny, thats exactly how I got to know about this car. I was driving south on Airport road a few weeks ago after work and i seen a white one with white LED's as the running lights behind me. I was like WTF is that... at first I was like no way it can be the R8. But it was the only car i remembered that had running lights like it. Than he pulled up beside me. I was like fackkkk its sexy..

Alot of people are turning heads towards Audi due to their LED running lights.
Besides the lights, the cars look very sleek and you don't see them around as often as some of the other high marquee cars.

I've been noticing alot of BMW 335's lately. It's a great car, no doubt. But after sitting in the Audi S5, there really is a big difference between the 2.
Even if you go up to the new M3, there's this quality that is missing from the BMW compared to the Audi.

I've been noticing more than a few R8's around my neighbourhood. People are finally taking delivery of them. The black pearl with the silver side blade is probably the sexiest machine offered from Audi!!

Is there a way to have running LED lights installed on our cars? It would look awesome!

The LED running lights reminds me of ancient Egyptian mascara. How much is the A5/S5 anyways? I agree that the A5/S5 is much nicer inside than the 335i.

There's big demand for the new Audi A5/S5. So waiting 7 months is normal.
Miata PRHT's had a 8-9 month waiting period at 1 time. It's about 3-4 months now.

The A5 is priced around the 50-55G mark. Where the S5 is up in the 65-70G mark.
Mind you, this is before taxes. Also the price begins to vary drastically if you start to load the cars up with options.

Audi finally got the R8 up on their build site. Just for kicks I went ahead and made the car to my specs. 160G's before taxes.
Damn sexy though!

your lucky bro, my dad wants to buy a 08 sebring. Though we're only getting it cause his client at the Chrysler head office can get him a sweet deal on a lease basis. But still a sebring, would have loved it if it was a 300 instead.

The A5/S5 is nice...but the 335 engine is just too awesome to ignore.

However, when I pay 50k+ for a car I don't want them to be everywhere like the 335i...lol

I wish I had money to buy a new car...if it were in the price range the GTR would be at the top...but I think that because it's only sold at select dealers and the maintenance cost of it is so expensive it's not worth it just as a car I'd use as a car on the streets and in winter =p

The other choices would be the M3 and the S5...with the S5 ontop although it's slower doesn't handle as well...it's rare...nicer looking, AWD and it's just sexy.

Yes in Canada the M3/S5/GT-R are essentially in the same price range.
