IMSA at Mosport July 8-10
Hey guys,
Just to let every one know, Mazda is running their Corral again... Hi Everyone! Once again, Mazda will be hosting a car corral at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park when the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship rolls into town July 7-10, 2015. As you know, the weekend in jam-packed with terrific racing, but this weekend will also include the Canadian debut of the SCCA Pro Racing Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich. Similar to last year, I have worked with the track to bring the price of the Mazda Corral ticket down to $65, in line with the price of a regular weekend super-ticket. This year we are partnering with Cobourg Mazda to make the weekend bigger and better. As always, your members will receive all the great benefits of the corral, including: · 4-day admission · Access to a private tented area and parking from Friday to Sunday · A parade lap · Driver meet and greet sessions · BBQ Lunch on Sunday Tickets can be ordered using the attached order forms, or directly online at https://ppmg.formstack.com/forms/ctmp_mazda Please distribute this info to your group and let me know if there are any questions. See you at the track! Heather |
Thanks for the heads up - will be spending the weekend there in my MS6 !

Bringing my Velocity Red Fire Breathing Monster.
Pardon my ignorance, this is my first time doing this. Do i get to take my car on the track? If yes, how many Laps? Thanks, |
parade lap is usually only 1 lap, from Pit exit to pit entrance (not a full lap). Also it's more of a 'parade lap' i.e you drive at like 60 km/h in the straights and maybe half that in a corner (if we're lucky)...
At least that's how it was in past years; so unless things have changed, then I wouldn't get my hopes up about being able to drive anywhere fast enough to enjoy anything else but the scenery when doing the parade lap. |
Khurram, if you're interested in driving that track at higher speeds, 01racing has an event for $379 all day you can drive as fast as you want around the main track.
|
+1 to what Maffu said - traditionally this has just been a very casual drive on the track. To get a feel for the track at appropriate speeds you would need to look for a track day/event (i.e. what Footman was alluding to).
Also, I recall the parade lap being REALLY early in the morning and I couldn't be bothered to wake up for it haha |
Yes, the parade lap is literally a parade lap. You'll get nowhere near the speeds you should around the fabulous track. But at least you can say you were on it. :)
We're 3 weeks away. Hope to see some of you there. |
This looks cool! Never been to something like this before. I'm going to try to come and see if any other rotaries want to come from the FB page.

Reckless convinced me to go last night so I'll see you at the track

If anyone is still interested, I've got 1 ticket available. I placed an order for 1 too many. Turns out the 3rd person couldn't make it.
Otherwise, see everyone at the track! |
