I passed!
Hey Guys,
I just had to make a post because I was excited. I found out Friday that I passed the final exam of the CICA's 3 exam system to become a Chartered Accountant. i was 1 of 1700 people to pass it across canada. This years pass rate was 40% from the first exam to the last. My 30 months of practical experience is up on Dec. 31/05 and I will be a fully qualified CA at that day. Any other Accountants on the Board?? Juergen |
Congrats.

Juergen: Congrats old man..(old? who am I kidding?) I never doubted that you would ace it having met you only once last summer. :ylsuper:
Now, are you and your gf going to start up an RX8 branded beefjerky franchise? :mdrmed: Best, Alan |
Congratulations! I use to work for KPMG and it's a party week when CAs pass their UFE. Obviously I'm not a CA as my ID indicates.
As for why you'd become a CA vs CGA I think it also has to do with if you would rather work with and get to know one company at a time vs having to work with a bunch and trying to be an expert on all. As long as a CA remains with a firm, to move up, there is always pressure to bring in clients and make partner. If it's for you, go for it, if not CGA or CMA is a good alternative. |
I am considering an RX8 only speeding ticket fighter company. Or maybe a JDM parts/accounting outfit. LOL
