how much deposit?

i know i'm a little late, but how much did everyone put down? (Canadian)

i went to a few dealers that asked for anywhere between $500 and $1000, but one was asking for $1500 - but they had the shortest waiting list.

thanks.

I gladly put down a $1000 deposit on a Lightning Yellow GT 6mt with moonroof and navigation package. I am purchasing the car, so I also obtained a bill of sales with the sales order number. Since then, I have also received a VIN.

They refused to take a deposit from me. I asked several times to so I could secure my position and I was told that I was already reserved for the first red GT going to their dealership. This will be my 3rd Mazda, 2nd acquired from them so I assume they know I'm serious. Great guys.

i don't think the size of your deposit should really matter all that much, as long as it's refundable, you get a reciept, and will probably go toward the down-payment anyways, right?? go for the short list :D
