Anyone have this happen?

Went out just now, car started fine, but the CEL and TCS/DSC light stayed on and I've got no power....gas pedal is dead. The weird thing is it was one of the smoothest start-ups I've experienced in cold weather like this (-18 C)....anyone?

 

I had that...is it revin really high?? I had it when my battery was completely dead tho, and once I jumped it, I had no throttle response. Let it warm up before turning it off and try again.

 

Oh and you can try resetting the ECU.

Went out and tried it again a bit later...DSC light went off, got response from throttle and the CEL stayed on, which I can deal with...no doubt it will go off in awhile. I guess something was just frozen or something.

By the way, anyone want to buy an almost stock '04 BB GT with MS exhaust and 80,000km?? Asking $14,800.

where abouts are you located? i may consider trading my stock exhaust for your ms one ill do the install as well.

 

Had the same problem happen to me a couple weeks ago...Started my 8 and it revved high with a CEL and as soon as I let the clutch out it died. I also had no gas pedal response...either gas lines were frozen or there was air in them...I simply found the gas line in the engine bay and pushed in the tab and let the air out until gas started coming out. Restarted the 8 and it was fine...CEL went away after driving for a bit.

 

Silverbullet has dibs at this point, BUT if he doesn't want it and if you want to come to Scarboro Mazda (they still have my old one, so I'd swap the MS for that one) and pick it up for $600, it's yours. I've only had it on for about 3 months now.

 

$600? Didn't you pick it up new for 550?

 

$800 installed, taxes in. And I don't know what they're going for now brand new, but I'm pretty sure it's quite a bit more than that.
