FYI- calls I made re: sept 06 recall
 

hello,
Just thought I'd inform.

I called up Mazda Canada and inquired about any recent recall notifications. She made mention of the Sept 06 recall.
PCM reprogramming and spark plug replacement is all she mentioned. Took my info and put it into their computer so that i will receive the actual notice. (took over a lease)

Anyway, I then called up Scarb Mazda service department and the gentleman I spoke with was aware of this. He suggested to leave my number for him to call me when they receive the parts which should be some time next week.

Also going to have my 32,000km maintenence done. He said this is an oil change, oil filter change, lube the door hindges, and I said a washing too? lol.
Anyway there you have it.

I just spoke to my service guy at Lallo Mazda in Brantford Ontario. You know these guys for service are the best I have ever dealt with. And that goes the same for the sales staff, best of any people and I buy alot of cars!! Anyway, I asked him about any service bullitens, he said he has heard of a recall but all he knows is it is called 'drivability recall'. I asked him if it was for engine replacement or engine testing he was not sure but he expects to find out withing the next month no later but he has heard of different things, but nothing from Mazda to confim the romours.
