It finally happened...but not to me.
I left my car with Speedy for tinting last Thursday as I was going to be away for a few days. I told them I would pick it up on Saturday, likely after they closed at 12:00 PM. They said they would leave it outside.
Saturday came and I drop by to pick up the car (after hours) and the car was not outside but inside the shop. WTF! Got home to find a couple of voice mail messages from Speedy saying that the car wouldn't start. Needless to say, it's been towed to Oakville Mazda for the dreaded "Flooded no start" operation. Question; Who pays for the de-flood me or Mazda? Thanks |

OK, so I phone Mazda Canada (Gerald was his name) and they told me that the equivalent Canadian bulletin for the Mazda NA Bulletin # 01-004/05 is 05-12.
He said he could not send me via Fax or otherwise the same bulletin that Mazda NA has on their website but that 05-12 did contain basically the same information as 01-004/05 except changes for the Canadian market. Can anyone substatiate thisand or provide me with a scanned copy? Mazda Canada also said that they would be picking up the tab for this. Railton |
I don't know...It's never happened to me. I would expect that the dealer would cover it.

I would imagine that Mazda would cover this, just as they do in US.
I belive the general policy here is that they will pay for the first 'flood'. After that, it's on us to make sure we don't do it again. Good luck, you should alright. |
Mazda pays for it, I flooded my car once

Car back from the dealer. Oil change, Plugs, starter and battery replaced. Maybe more but my Wife picked it up for me and she didn't ask for the details. No charge.
The new starter definitely turns over the motor faster and sounds different. Railton |
