Engine Warranty - Which Dealership ?

I will be scheduling a compression test soon probably in the next couple weeks. I was wondering those of you who had your engine replaced where you went. Obviously my car is modded and from what i hear Avante is pretty lenient with modded rx8s.

Here is what i currently have on the car:

- AEM Cold Air Intake
- Exoticspeed Cat-Back exhaust
- BHR midpipe

Those are the only 3 things i would assume would affect warranty work. Really dont feel like paying a shop another 70 bucks to remove the pipe just for this and then another 70 to put it back on. If i have to i will but would rather not.

What footman said... they won't even look at it if you have a midpipe on. Put the stock cat back on then go get checked out.

Thanks for advice guys !! Ill have Avante look at it soon !!

In terms of fees some people are saying 300 some people are saying 100. What did you guys end up paying when all said and done ??

From my understand fluids, and ignition has to be paid for but some people told me they argued that it shouldnt have to be charged and as a result got them for free.

I used to do customer service for Ford years ago. Basically, any testing or work that needs to be done as a result of a warranty repair should be covered under the warranty by Mazda. Therefore, the comp test, sea foam, oil change or any other fluid change should be covered as its the result of a factory defect that Mazda has recognized and is covering with a warranty.

I'm sure some dealers do charge for certain things but they shouldn't be. I'm not necessarily saying they do it on purpose, they might not realize they can submit for a warranty claim on those items. In my experience the average service advisor is a moron, and don't even get me started on the average dealer tech.
