Engine light flashes!
It was nice and warm this weekend so I thought I'd burn some gas and try full throtle.
Car was warmed up fully but when I gave er it started flashing that yellow engine light.. What could be wrong??? I have a service appointment tmrw so I thought I'd check in with the experts on this forum and I'll have a heads up before I go to the dealership. John ps. i drive a usdm 04 a/t |
Miss fire; it will be coils, plugs and/or wires. No biggie.

^^ likely...Just did that swap to fix the same issues in Hittman's car...
Don't let the dealer sell you the coils/plugs and wires though...unless you have about $500 extra money lying around...their prices are beyond highway robbery. coils should be about $140, Plugs about $90, and wires about $60 for OEM...any more than that and you are getting ripped over what you can order them yourself online. |
can be anything but if its a high rev blinking light, it is most likely a misfire code. John, call me and i will read the code for ya. if u didnt redline yours quite often, i think it also can be a SSV stuck open light.

Last time my check engine light flashed, I ended up in a pile of smoke and the rear rotor blown

Ya they will, at a rate of 92 to 100 an hour. You might as well buy me steak and I'll do it all for you.

Or if your doing it soon, bring them to the RPM meet on the 19th.

If I buy the parts online myself, will the dealer still install them if I provide them to them??
