DSC, ABS, TC, E-Brake light on!!!!!!

for the past few weeks those lights have been coming on, and i would turn them off by cycling the ignition. every time they have come on is as soon as i get on to the highway, and only then. I called the Mazda dealer and they said they had the same problem on another 8 and they had to repace the entire wiring harnes. As if this car does not have enought rattles, now they might have to gut out the car and try and put it back together!!. I dunno if i should say this but the car was in the shop many time and i'm starting to have second thoughts!!.. my Benz never had this many problems and it was 6 years old. i know that this car is only $40,000, but its mazdas flagship they should take more pride and get all this shit sorted out. I had to wait 2 months for them to fix the rear defroster in the middle of winter. here at the dealer i would have taken it out of a new car if it was going to take 2 months(its a safty hazard).

You know what it is... it's all that washing and waxing you're doing in the middle of winter... cars don't take well to that! LOL!!

Sucks to hear, but maybe it's something to do with the way you drive and maintain the beast.... it's gotta be!

I know Scotty (MyRxBad) hasn't had anything wrong happen to his... and his is an 04..

Don't kid yourself between realiability of a Benz and a Mazda... I know alot of people who have had Benz's and say "never again"... They all drive high end Japanese cars now (Lexus, Infinity)

It's gotta be driver error! LOL!!! ;)

lates,

As with every manufacturer and every model....you sometimes find a lemon. It doesn't mean the whole model line sucks. There are also good dealers and bad ones. I switched dealers because of the crap service (Sunridge) I was getting.

As to your points about rattles; I had my engine replace and the car is nice and tight. No rattles at all. Shit sometimes happens, keep the pressure on the dealership to make things right.

If your wheelspeed sensors for ABS are out of wack you will get those lights on.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. The dash lit up like the old Xmas tree. Tried a restart .. very reluctantly, as I was in the usual Friday afternoon creep and crawl in the left lane. I lost the power assist on the brakes and steering, but I made it from Brock St. and 401 to Whitby Mazda ok. I posted a brief report at the time. It took several hours in the shop to carry out a reset. Wiring harness not replaced. ECU or its equivalent was glitchy, but not terminal. So far, no repeat.

Yup, it's a wheel sensor issue. Usually happens with aftermarket rims.

It is because you bought the car in Black. If you were smart and had bought it in red..... you wouldent have that problem and your car would be faster:D:

Check the brake fluid level.

Tlovr, dealer you work for?

btw if you leave your car outside all winter, you'll probably get the occasional electrical glitch. Also contributes to more rattles as the cold weather loosens plastic easily.

I'm in florida and the only rattle I get comes from the steering wheel airbag. it sounds like crickets. I know it's a recall but I'd like to fix it myself then take it to the stealership.

I would never take the car to mazda unless it's catastrophic.
