Angry Dealership hurt my baby!!

My car was damaged at the dealership last week - they owned up to the damage (after I called them on it - they didn't tell me when I picked it up) and will be fixing it this week. When I bring it in to be fixed I will be given a loaner (rental). My fear is that I will be driving a cavalier or worse, an echo - does anyone know what kind of loaner I am entitled to? No offense to cavalier or echo drivers, but this is a $40,000 car that they damaged. I think I should be given something comparable to drive. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and if so, what happened.

I think most Mazda dealerships in Canada use Enterprise Rental Car for theirloaners. You will be at the mercy of what they have available. That being said, I would push for an upgraded car. I had been given a Cavalier once. I took it back the next day because the brakes were so bad and demanded a different car. The only thing thay had was a Mazda 3. It worked well enogh untill I was rear ended. I then got an SUV to drive around.

I haven't heard of any Canadian dealers giving out somethign off of their lot. It seems to happen in the US but not here.

I sent you a PM - I'd rather not say in the forum since they have yet to fix my car. One never knows who may be lurking about....

sorry to hear that man. Hope they right their wrong. But, BFD on the rental car. No offence, but a 40k car is not impressive and certainly doesn't make you deserving of a 40k rental car.

they gave me a 626 while they did my recall work the other day. And the other place I went to did the enterprise thing and tried to stick me with a kia, but I upgraded it for 15 bucks

In January, the dealer gave me a Mazda 3, was their 3. But the thing had nothing inside, completely bone stock.

I ended up with an Altima (dont ask) was not impressed, great car according to most, but It felt like a boat, I was thinking that at the least, they had some mustangs there, why cant I have one, but oh well. Needless to say, I did not drive it around much.
Good luck with repairs.
