Dear 8 owner,

I am sick of tried of those bastar*, last nite when I was driving home I got chased by s2000 (which is modified buz I heard the muffer sound and seen the body kit), suddenly a convertible 350Z start to join the race. We only raced in a couple blocks buz there are many cars at that time. I l left early but is was a real close to s2000 and then I turn right on signal light and head home, I saw them chasing each other go crazy.

However, I was driving an AT but I always got some s2000 who was following me close I mean really close from behind and started to force me to race. Sometimes when we stop at the red light and I heard they started stepping the gas real hard to make me race with them. I m ashame that I can't dilvery the rotary power due to the AT, not to mentioned b4 I pick up the 8 the next couple days and I got a speeding ticket right in front of my dealer ship buz I drop my friends home that day. How sad is that and when I start to step hard on the gas pedal my leg was shaking constantly because I know I got the speeding ticket b4 and my dad was pissed off by that. I got lucky on the ticket buz I asked the officer I will pay the fine and he didn't reduce my driver license points.

The shadow is still here, I can't shake it. I started to hate myself.

Just my feeling want to share, sorry to bring this out and pls HELP!

Nobody forces you to race. You sound young to me, no offence. Us old guys once had that problem but please don't learn the hard way.

Hey I'm sure you have your reason for gettig AT. What ever the case.. it's still an 8 none the less.. (well a few pony's short) But still you car.. just don't go picking fights with bully's. and enjoy your ride..

Just ignore them, kind of odd, most s2k drivers seem mature, at least the ones I associate with.

 

Only a coward gets forced into doing something they don't want to do in the first place.

Remember that.

 

Getting your feathers ruffled by anyone on the road is unecessary. If they want to race, let them have the race of "one". It really doesn't matter if you're driving an At or not, it's you who's behind the wheel, and the one in control. Just drive the way you want to. Heck I drive an AT, I get little punks in their moded Civics jonesing for a race, but do I get forced to? No way. Remember you're in control.

As for the speeding ticket, that sucks. There's nothing that can be said about it. If you were speeding, then what else can you say?

That's just my 2 cents. I think I get more trouble who want to check the car out while on the road. I've seen truck tires up close, mini vans trying to seek in a kiss or two, but I'm getting used to it.

This is a pretty good story, made me chuckle. Now the whole office is staring at me. Now i feel like going out and picking a race

I work in Mississauga near the airport, there's a strip of road, Explorer Drive, amazing for racing .... so I've heard. Anyway, the rx8 was my first manual car, and i had no previous driving experience. My first few months driving it, i kept getting owned by old ladies in minivans... for SHAME.

But now... months later, with more experience ;I hope to run into those mini vans again... try me PUNK

ok, in all seriousness... racing is bad guys, just look away.

 

"They forced you to race"... yet another person paranoid and behind the wheel, dude just relax. Only once in 11 months I had 3 guys guys pull-up in a WRX and ask me to race, I stared back and them while pumping gas and asked them "isn't it really time for you guys to grows up". They all had blank stares on their faces and skulked away embarrassed.

 

i get asked to race all the time i say yah haha they look like idiots just slamming it while i do a regular accelartion

 

Its those WRX guys that want leave me alone. I ignore them. What is funny,as soon as they see me they come after me and i act as if they weren't even there. I have never had a S2000 or Z try to f##k with me . They seem to be mature drivers.Its been strange.I am not used to it. No one wanted to race my MR2 Spyder.But those WRX , Civic and Eclpise guys love to try to get me going.

 

mitsus suck.... never had any beef with wrxs s2ks or 350 always the civics
