Charger Spy Shot

HI guy's, just thought I would share a little pic that I took on my way to work the other morning. I was cruising on the 401 and I notice something coming at me FAST! So I slow down and let it pass me, and to my surprise I see this bright orange Charger R/T Daytona blow past me.
I'm not a fan of domestics, but this thing looked really good, plus it has a HEMI. :D Anyway by the time I Imanage to get my phone in my hand to take a pic it had already gotten by me a bit so sorry for the poor pic, but I thought it was a really cool car, and worth posting. BB8 |
Nice one!
For those who are wondering about the R/T, there are some nice shots in here: http://www.allpar.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52980 |
yeah, nice catch. I thought that car was pretty lame, never new they had this planned. It looks pretty cool, however i'd rather see it as a 2 door. That way it can compete with the GTO

...just another car built to put a hemi in it.

This may be the single biggest bone of contention among so-called purists. Well, that and having some Mercedes parts in it! :) |
I've just been reminded why I'm not big on domestics, another bland looking vehicle in my books. It's funny that domestic concept cars look pretty good but when the production version come out they seem to disapoint.
Just my opnion. |
I'm with you on the domestics, but this thing actually looked nice. I'll give credit where its due.

I may change my mind once I see it in a showroom, we'll see. The only car in the past couple of years that raised an eyebrow and made me say hmmmm is the Pontiac Soltice. Perhaps because all Pontiacs have been pretty boring for so long that this one with some design stands out.

i was reading in Speed magazine the issue with the "underground RX-8". They showed spy shots of a 2 door charger.....but it looked nothing like this car??? anyone know what that car was?
|
i think the 4 door idea makes it look hideous... the 2door might work... but this is all compared to an RX-8.. :p
the HEMIs lost its exclusivity according to me.. i can understand the cost savings though...IMO |

I don't like the new charger. Looks like a$$. Doesn't look or resemble anything of a "muscle car". The only thing "new" I've seen on the 401 l8ly is the new Honda Ridgeline.
|
Yes, the "Hemi" thing is pure marketing now....but then again that's what Chrysler is all about these days. They are also using a an old automaker. Take a mediocre car, throw a powerful engine in it and call it something it isn't
|
Next I'm sure in addition to the HEMI that people are starting to not give a shit about they'll slap that retarded ass SRT-8 badge on it like everything else they build.
Charger= GHEY |
Sorry I brought it up. :p
