Canada warranty

I hear that the USA owners are getting 48 months ( 4 years) and 50,000 miles.
My dealer and the Canada brochure says we only get 36 months (3 years) and 80,000 km.

Comments?

I bought the 7 year extended warranty. I did not want to take a chance with a first year model, plus the fact that it is transferable if I decide to sell in the future.

BullDog, how much did it cost you?

These are prices listed on the Mazda web site. You have to go into MazdaMaker and select New Vehicle Comprehensive to get the list.

36 MONTHS / 80,000 KM $285.00
42 MONTHS / 100,000 KM $495.00
48 MONTHS / 100,000 KM $595.00
60 MONTHS / 100,000 KM $1,120.00
72 MONTHS / 120,000 KM $1,840.00
72 MONTHS / 160,000 KM $1,880.00
84 MONTHS / 160,000 KM $2,060.00

BTW, according to my dealer, you can pick this up any time in the first 12 months/ 20,000 km without any additional charge above the price listed above.

Thank's Jasper!

Further to that:
If you look at the list, and see the 36/80K option, you might wonder "Why?"
The answer is: If you buy any of the extensions ( up to the maximum one) you can leter upgrade to a higher one.
For example, I bought the 48/100 with my car. At ANY TIME in the 48/100 interval. I can buy a further upgrade to a higher level.
So, If I decide to sell the car at 46 months, I can offer a further two year/60K warranty with it at a cost of $1880

Nice, eh?

Exactly the same logic I used. 7 year 160 for $2K is definitely a good deal if you plan to keep the car a while.
