Have there been any meets in Calgary this "summer"? if not, we should get one organized. any thoughts as to where or when?

 

Yeah I haven't heard a peep from any Calgarians on this site for a loooong time. It would be nice to have a meet of some kind though. Keep the local RX-8 community alive for another year.

I'm rollin' down in Lethbridge, if that's close enough to be included. Ha. I think it'd be cool to check out other people's 8s.

It excites me when I see other RX8s around town. There's 3 of them I see weekly (one red, one gray, and a nice black like mine) but I doubt their owners come to a site like this... Which Kinda kills a local meet here for me.

 

Well looks like the Calgary RX8 scene is dead.

You haven't seen my white one!! Weak. I got clear corners and a loud exhaust... Both of those facts should separate my from the rest of the bunch. I see a black one all the time around time, but never a driver in it.

 

Dude! I seen it like the next day after I posted that, in the parking lot by SS Boston Pizza. And I think one (dunno if it was you) drove by my place one night after I first got mine.

Mines the one with the red break calipers. There is at least one other black one driving in town that I've seen and two parked (with plates) at the Mazda dealership.

I'll be keeping my eye out now!

The old boston pizza by london drugs? I haven't been in the area of the new BP's in a while, well in the parking lot anyways. I have mazdaspeed 6 rims too. I'll keep my eyes open.

 

I leave off of Old Banff Coach rd (2008 White Pearl), I regularly cross an other fella on that same rd also driving a white one!

 

New to the rx8 club (got mine 2 months ago) im in hidden valley

 

Looks like there's more Lethbridge activity then Calgary here. Let's do a late July meet.

 

I'd be up for a July meet. This coming weekend is Street Wheelers in Lethbridge, Fri-Sat (10th + 11th).

 

just drove back from Vancouver, spotted ~ 5-6 RX8s just on the way back (towards Van). A few modded ones too. Saw one w/ a CF hood and what and another mazdaspeed one. They are escaping Calgary!

 

I'm thinking more 18th or 25th. Which one would work? Where do you guys want to meet?

18th would be better. as for location, Longview or Bragg Creek?

 

I can't do 18, how about 19th? Haven't been to Longview where is that?

 

Longview is just south of Black Diamond/Turner Valley. If you drive the road to Nakiska/Kananaskis Golf course just off the trans canada highway and follow it south for an hour or so, you come out at Longview.

 

shoot I might not be able to make it out for this one. Need to head up to deadmonton for 6 weeks for work.

 

Looks like we'll have to move this to Sept perhaps since there isn't a lot of interest and the one dude out of three won't be going... how sad...
