boo to Mazda of Brampton

I was at Mazda of Brampton this morning getting an alignment job (because they didn't do it right lastweek) so it look just over an hour. I get in my car and start driving away when i notise a gouge out of my steering wheel. It is right under the circle that goes around the "winged M badge" and is about 1.5" in length. It looks like it was done with a tool, I was sooooo pissed. I turned around and went back in and told them then showed them. They told me that they can have it covered up and I told them that I was not going to accept a patch up job and to order me a replacement part. She told me that I would have to wait till tuesday to speek with the service manager. BAH. Only me

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure the service manager will order you a new steering wheel. If not you have a solid case to complain to Mazda Canada. Good Luck and keep us posted

Sucks to hear Helas... but yes, they have to use a steering tool to hold the steering wheel in place while they align the car... some places do without it, others still use it...
Unfortunately for you, the latter is true...

Those steering wheels aren't cheap! Damn airbags!

Hopefully I won't need an alignment for a long time... I hate taking it to the dealer...

Lates,

I am sure the service manager will just get one under warranty, as long as you don't mind a warranty claim against your vin number for a steering wheel repair. If you actually want them to pay out of their pocket it will not happen unless you sue. Let us know what happens and mention to the service manager that you'll report to the owners club about there great service once they take care of the problem.
