Automatic Temperature Control?
Automatic Temperature Control?
I apologize if this has already been answered on this forum, but do we know if the Canadian cars will have automatic temperature control? I bought a GT model.
If you look at the pictures on the prototypes you can defiantly see the auto climate control; however, if you look at the Mazda Canada spec sheet there is no mention of it. Typically if they do not mention it you will not get it.
I'm going to the dealership tonight and I will ask them specifically about it - I'll post their response.

ZoomZoom and I go to the same dealership, and were there this evening.
Although the dealership knows no more than Mazda Canada tells them, they are still expecting first deliveries in late May.
In fact, some of the vehicles that are coming in to the country have been matched to specific names: in other words, it appears that Mazda Canada ordered a number of cars without reference to the dealer pre-orders: any of those cars (scheduled to arrive in May) that match exactly what somebody has ordered have already been matched to that "buyer". We saw the inventory sheet: it showed a car which happened to match what somebody had ordered (even though that person was quite down the list of customers who have put down deposits) with the buyer's name beside it. In other words, the buyer had already been matched to an inventory car, and that car will be his if he wants it.
In summary, initial Mazda Canada ordered cars are still supposed to arrive in May. If you are lucky enough to want a car that will be within that inventory, and nobody at another higher volume dealer ahead of you also wants it, you will probably get your car at the beginning of June. The rest of us will have to wait... even though some of us have had our deposits down since last year
...
In defence of Mazda Canada however, I will say this: apparently much of Nissan's extra stock on 350Z's is the result of Nissan Canada listening to their dealers, who wanted them to fill the orders of customers who had deposits down: when the cars arrived, many of those customers backed out. I guess Mazda Canada didn't want the same scenario, so they have already gone ahead and ordered what they think will sell, and will make the dealers take what they give them, for the most part. hopefully it will match what you want.

As 73JPS previously mentioned we paid a visit to the dealership last night. The short answer to the climate control question is that we still do not know if it will be available. The salesman's personal opinion is that it will be available; this is based on the fact that it is available on the Mazda 6.
I guess we will not know for sure until the first piece arrives at the dealership.

I got a letter from my dealer that is from Mazda Canada - dated February 17th, 2003. Here is a quote: "The GS trim is extremely well equipped, with the following notable items - 18" alloy wheels, climate-control air conditioning, premium BOSE audio system with 6-disc in-dash CD changer and 9 speakers, ........" And the GT gets everything the GS gets.
It says climate-control air conditioning. I would think this means automatic temperature control. What do you think? The dealer said it means this, but I'm not 100% convinced.

yea....... I mean from the looks of it, the Mazda6 and the RX-8 seems to have the same climate control system with the long red display on top of the centre console. So you would think they will have same functionality.
So does all Mazda6 have auto-climate control ?
