Agincourt Mazda (was Moringside Mazda)
Has anyone deal with the new Agincourt Mazda( Morningside Mazda in the past). I am thinking of switching to them since Markham Mazda service sucks. I go there because they are close to I live but I rather go a few more km then dealing with Markham.

Drive to Whitby Mazda...guys r great! They shuttle you home quite a distance if needed. Call them first if it's not too far to shuttle you. I know they drop people off in Scarborough.
On Hwy 2 between Thickson Rd. and Brock St. in Whitby (not Brock Rd. in Pickering). I think I got that Rd. and St. in the right order.

No, DO NOT GO TO MORNINGSIDE.
There are plenty of complains about their service department on here. Here's some recommendations.

Dude, I posted one of those complaints. Agincourt is the exact same people as Morningside. There service is very bad and they scam you. To give you an example I broke my overhead sun visor from wear. They said it would cost me to fix it. Another dealer offered to fix it for free under warranty. Morningside kept the part ordered a new one under warranty and then tried to charge me. They tried a couple of other scams on me as well. Please see my tread for details. Stay as far away from the place as possible.

Now I go to Avante Mazda. So far they have been great. They are very knoweldgeable and honest. They put ina new started just like that and offered to fix things for free that Morningside/Agincourt Mazda wanted to charge me for.

I have yet to be impressed by the Morningside service department for a multitude of reasons which you will find in previous posts of mine. Inconsistent / unreliable (like call backs when parts available just don't happen) nor do they resolve problems that they created i.e. strakes mounted crookedly, mat peg not installed.
Heaven help you if you actually need recall work done as the usual response is "don't know anything about it".
Strangely enough one of their salespeople is on this forum, and has access to this commentary. You would think that he would communicate the issues to his service department or to the owner/manager of the business.
Sometimes, I just don't understand why "being the best at your craft" isn't the standard at any dealership. After all, they are supposed to know their product better than their customers.
Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Heard a lota things about the service dept @ AGINCOURT MAZDA (Morningside).... I do work there as one of the sales manager, and I've heard that the advisors sometimes have problems dealing with customers. However, you can always bring it up to the service manager's attention, and or our fix-operation manager. We are the largest Mazda dealership in Ontario, and we would like to offer everyone the best Mazda experience in town. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Hey My RX8, so you work there at Agincourt Mazda (aka Worst Mazda Dealer in Toronto) right ? Tell whoever in charge of the dealership this is the kind of service that I have been getting:

I just wanted to sit in car parked inside the show room, I wasn't even asking for a test drive !!! I then went over to Avante Mazda at Richmondhill, and ask for the same thing. The sale guy there threw me the keys to their demo in the back and ask me to bring it back in 45mins.
The second time was a few months ago. Finally finished my contract work in the US and I was ready to order a 2006 RX-8. From this forum, I already knew the car wouldn't be here until sometime in Nov. I told the Sales Guy, I'm ready to order the car and ask him to check if his dealership offer rental cars for people so I will have a car to drive until my 2006 car arrives. Freaken Sale Person said to me, ok I'll check it for you but I need your Driver's liciense, and credit card for a deposit so I can order the car for you first. I was like, wait a minute, why can't you just tell me whether you guys can accomodate me on rental car first ? and also, how the hack can I put down a deposit on car which you don't even have any information on ?
The guy had the nerve to say, I can't check it for you just like you can't commit on buying the car right now. I was like WHAT ??!!!!

Look the dealership sucks. They try and charge you for items covered under warranty, then they over bill you for man hours and then try and tell you they are giving you a dealer. They also try and make stuff up that really didn't happen and then try and charge you for it.
Bottom line they will really need to chnage there act or less they will not be the biggest Mazda dealership in Ontario as there sells will suffer.

Excellent advice, Johnboy. It's worth the drive to Whitby Mazda. I've been 'promoting' Whitby Mazda whenever I could on this site since I joined up in May '04: *****, two thumbs up, whatever. My RX8 is my third set of wheels from W.M. -always the same thorough, courteous, reasonably-priced and go-the-extra-mile service.
