*Insurance Quotes*

Now that us Canadians are getting our VINs, I was just wondering what kind of Insurance rates people here are getting for their RX-8. (If possible, please specify your area and age group and your previous rate if you can.) Thanks a lot guys !

You think that's bad, try paying almost $2000 on a three year old Prelude.. 32 years old, no claims or tickets at the time on my record..

Anyone got a quote yet from the GTA area? Insurance quotes are much less if you live in the boonies like Cambrdige or Oshawa.. :p I keed! j/k :D

Its around $2350 for a 26 year old, with no claims.

I'm in the GTA and was quoted 1596 from Primmum. I do live in the GTA, and we are included in the same group as Toronto for insurance rates. Seems most people commute from the GTA threefore rates are high. I do have a clean driving record.

Just got my premium quote today -

age 44, Calgary, clean record, multi-vehicle discount, $500 collision deductible, $250 comprehensive, all-purpose usage, etc etc. $1011/year. Not bad!

Regards,
Gordon

Cool Stealthy.............

Got my insurance last week.

Just went into the brokers office with my V.I.N., and asked to 'add a vehicle'.

'Kid' in the office made me out my pink slip, looks in the underwriting manual........"Oooooooh........it says here I have to check if it's on the 'Do Not Insure' list..........here we are.........Mazda...........no, the only one on the list is the RX-7, so here you go, have a nice day!"

Trust me, I didn't hang around to check what the premium was!

I'm in St. John's Nfld - the Co-operators quoted me $2306 per year!

I am 31, clean record, no moving violations in 8 years. The coverage is $500 ded on coll, $100 ded on comprehensive. As the onlky RX-8 in the city, I'm expecting to get more than my fair share of attention from dirtbag kids with sharp objects. Figured it was best to keep my comp deductible low.....

I was actually pretty happy with the quote I got, since Nova Scotia is supposed to now have some of the highest insurance in the country.

27 years old w/ 1 Speeding ticket (almost 3 years ago) but otherwise a clean record.
$1620 per year for full coverage. That's actually cheaper then I was paying for my Civic SiR, so I really couldn't complain.

Just got off the phone with my insurance agent. We played a little bit with my deductables (I'm not going to claim a collision for less then a write off, so I bumped up to a $1000 deductable) and my premium is now $1571 w/ $2M Liability.

I'm going to have to check mine out, I was paying $1600 a year for my tiburon and it just recently droped to $1000. I really don't want to go back up to $1600 a year again!
