So, only 20 odd cars? Is that enough to make it economically viable with what we've paid???

I'm very disappointed more NSW people haven't entered. Qlders and Vics travelled extensive distances to make the first two Nats in our backyard. Pathetic effort Sydney - pa-thet-ic! :icon_tdow

I think you'll find there's 6 or 7 more not yet fully paid up.Around 27-28 drivers in total.
Otherwise I agree-pathetic NSW effort.
I'll probably spend most of the day running the thing with Don[AGAIN-you'd think I'd learn]-and neither of us even own an RX8!Just a good opportunity for a nice weekend away.
I think the only thing saving us $$$-wise is the surplus from '06.
See you all soon.
Cheers
Len

Yeah, whatever Michael. :uhh: :icon_bs:

I'm sure the rest of us are very appreciative of the efforts Len and Don have gone to in supporting the National events run so far.

I'm tipping this will be the last one though - when you can't get 30 cars to turn up out of over 5,000 owners, you know you're flogging a dead horse.

Or maybe most owners are pussies and this has become a hairdresser's car? :banghead:

Or there are so many events now in every ones backyards no one wants to get together out of town.
If someone tries again next year in another part of town we will see what happens, maybe try Sydney next year and see what kind of turn out it gets.
Plus I get the feeling there are still some divisions floating around over past issues but I am not going there.

I just did the best I could this year not having a clue what I was doing and trying to pull it all together at the last minute. I very much thank Len and Don for taking over the track end of things and Revolver for his help in legal side of things.

You've done a sterling job Monte, especially in the circumstances. Well done. :)

I just hoped we'd get more support for this event from the wider RX8 community but as usual there's plenty of talkers but not many doers.

As for past divisions, if some people can't build a bridge, etc, that's their problem. They can stay home with their bat and ball and cry about it.

Hmmm....difficult to say whats going on, but I'll bet London to a brick the economy and fuel prices had a bit to do with it....:uhh:

Not to worry, we'll have post heaps of pics for all to see....especially after we get a pic of Dave dancing on a bar in the Valley.... :buttslay:

My last visit to the Valley (Fortitude I presume?) was a lovely Sunday morning I spent asleep under a tree. Morning after the night before, the night before being the first test against the Kiwi's. Good result that one.

We have a few open spots, a couple of people are not going to make it, so if anyone wants to jump in here at the last minute and join in the fun speak up now or forever hold your keys.

Just a few points.
For the dinner on Sunday night, bring some cash.
We don't need 30 odd people reaching for credit cards when the bill comes.
Check tyre pressures,fluids,wheel nuts etc.
Take EVERYTHING loose from the interior and boot BEFORE Scrutineering.
Don't be late.
We don't have the personnel or time to accomodate late people.
If I can drive 1100 odd kilometres to run the day[and I don't even own an RX8 anymore]you can get there on time.
If you're late,you'll wait.
If that means you miss some track time or whatever, tough break.
End of rant.
Cheers
Len
