Gomez 01-27-2006 04:57 PM

They're always turning RX-8's into scrap in that formula, I've seen photo's like that before.

Prangs like that are part and parcel of a single make series, I suppose. Does anyone know if footage of these races is available for download or purchase? The close racing would be exciting to watch.

And note the number of the car - 13.

That car never had a chance.

takahashi 01-27-2006 06:29 PM

Beside it sends chill to my spine...

It is a cool pic ... nicely taken

EZZY 01-27-2006 06:48 PM

it was "fun" watching a bunch of woman trackies taking the 8 around and around the track on TV.... and then smash.....

auzoom 01-28-2006 12:13 AM

First thing I noticed was they have stock exhausts and # 13 looks like its on standard ride height so I would assume stock springs...Dont know about anyone else, but with all the sponsorship they have, I would have expected a lot more. Or am I looking to deep?

Andrew

timbo 01-28-2006 12:17 AM

Looking too deep. I think it was/is? a 'stock' class

ZoomZoomH 01-28-2006 12:21 AM

i think they just put in safety equipments (roll cage, racing seats, 5 point harness), upgrade the brake fluids and pads, and probably better tires, and call it a day

in a spec class, as long as all the cars are equally set up, i see no problem running the 8's in showroom stock form, may even be fun actually

takahashi 01-28-2006 12:31 AM

I am sure the "13" is firing the Boss while driving ;)

Gomez 01-28-2006 01:15 AM

I just checked the Formula Woman website....seems like they race Caterham K Series vehicles now, the RX-8's were used in the 2004 championship.

Caterham K Series

Gomez 01-28-2006 01:17 AM

.....and all the RX-8's used in that 2004 series were silver....... :mdrmed: :mdrmed:

Gomez 01-28-2006 01:31 AM

Sixteen curses into the first right hander..... :mdrmed:

Hymee 01-28-2006 01:43 AM

So look out for any "2nd-hand right-hook silver RX-8's only driving on Sundays by an old (cough) lady" being flooded onto the market.

Cheers,
Hymee.

auzoom 01-28-2006 02:25 AM

I wish someone would sponsor my car to stay stock!
