Quick survey, please be interested ^^;

Hi, i would like to know what other people on the forum think about this exaust.

mainly sound.

http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/sound/sound_rx_8.html

this one.. it's jp web site..of Re-

1st one is titan.

2nd one is super dolphin tail

3rd one is super dolphin with exaust manifold + re air cleaner box..thingie.. ( their own intake system..has box as well.. but there can be more tuning done..not sure..! )

out of all these.. i reckoned 4th one.. ( 4th download now from the top ) sounds best.

Which one people think is best? and if u think 4th one as well.. which tuning have they done? do you think?

or..if you have other exaust system that you particularly like..or has it.. please

post them as well. ( reply ) Thanks!!

% i'm on the diverged road of getting super dolphin tail or titan

there is about 900 aud difference..i think.

O.. and where is good place to rebuild your rotary engine for rx8? extend ports.. bigger..

Is advan reputable and good? where else?

MissyK 02-20-2007 04:02 PM

if you like it - get it :)

there is also Rotormaster in syd who specialises in rotaries. advan from wat i know doesnt specialise in rotaries exactly - more of a broader base.

Revolver 02-20-2007 04:30 PM

For the love of all things sweet and beautiful please, please, please just buy an exhaust and be done with it.

It's getting exhausting. ;)

if you want someone to open up your rotary engine block and do some work on it, go to a rotary specialist..... there are a few in sydney... ie. rotormaster, ric shaw, mazsport, pacman etc...

check this thread for more places...

https://www.rx8club.com/australia-new-zealand-forum-37/missyk-ezzy-need-help-20b-107661/

tip:
make sure you speak to the engine builder yourself and have everything in agreement before hand over your hard earned cash. so everyone's happy.

Dude...no offense but please learn to make your own decisions sometimes. This is starting to get a bit silly.

gyzmoo 02-20-2007 08:21 PM

what, let the guy breathe, he is buying an exhaust and the world to assist, anything wrong with it ..... ?? :fingersx:

WhiteRain 02-20-2007 09:11 PM

This is like the 4th or 5th thread that has related (either directly, or very closely) to his exhaust purchase.

I understand it's an important choice but as i mentioned in my previous post, it's getting a bit silly now.

Katana, piece of advice. Who gives a f*#% what the rest of us think about your exhaust sound. You will be the one listening to it almost 100% of the time. Like Missy said, if YOU like the sound of it, that's all that matters.

DrewMan 02-20-2007 11:48 PM

save up for FI!!!

but super dolphin would be nice to have

This aint need for speed though!

katana4eva 02-21-2007 05:34 AM

Alright, no more silly repeatative post. sorry ppl, those who i pissed them off and made them exausted. and thanks again for kind advices. really thanks for helps! Next post for me will be info about what i imported. and planning to do. and hopefully price? thanks!

katana4eva 02-21-2007 05:45 AM

the one with ph numbers!! thanks heaps! makes my job much easier ^^

katana4eva 02-21-2007 06:22 AM

one more question, is city performance rotary specialist as well?

and pac man is same one as Pac Performance (02) 9792 7076 this one?? not sure..

can anyone please tell me..? thanks.. this is really last bothering question. sorry!!

gyzmoo 02-21-2007 06:36 AM

i guess u dont need a rotary specialist to get a muffler. Just order whatever u want from JP and than call mechanic to get it fit, job for an hour, will cost u 70 bucks, guy will come to your place to do it. I dont see any easier way to do it, and do it properly but still cost and time effective. once u got an exhaust delivered, send me a message i will giv u a phone num for someone who will do it for ya. gut night

gyzmoo 02-21-2007 06:38 AM

where r u located in syd?? what do u drive??

katana4eva 02-21-2007 06:54 AM

Thx EZZY! i don't know how to quote... well.

gyzmoo - i'm also looking for someone to rebuild my engine + import cusco sus and fit + exaust manifold & exaust system + filter

and jobs like fitting screen for radiator and oil cooler.. hopefully ECU and tune it.. ( if it's under my budget apexi one..)

just leave everything to one shop.. or two to do it for me.

costly NA tune... damn.

just my thought.. it would be easier..i guess

thanks anywayz! thx for your interest and kindness.

gyzmoo 02-21-2007 08:14 AM

i thought this thread was about your exhaust ....

katana4eva 02-21-2007 08:22 AM

yea..was too. sorry to confuse you. thanks for the advice. because i know nothing much about car, i had to keep asking people for stuffs.. search wasn't enuf... sorry. and thanks for the advices that directed me!

MissyK 02-22-2007 04:50 PM

lol ok at first i did used to get annoyed by these posts... but really startin to realise this poor guy just doesnt know what to do and really needs some advice......... lol

katana if u feel like you cant post your questions anymore, just feel free to pm one of us, takahashi, auzoom, astro, or myself.

Revolver 02-23-2007 12:48 AM

katana, I was more tongue in cheek than serious. Please don't take it too seriously.

By all means ask away. Plenty of good people in here who can help.

However, I would be wary of getting major work done on the car until you've improved your knowledge base. You sound like a ripe target for a disreputable shop. You may also be planning things you don't need.

MissyK 02-23-2007 02:18 AM

Agreed with Revolver, I wouldnt recommend major mods so soon either. After all we've had our cars for 2-3yrs now and when we look back and think of the warranty work... sometimes best to stay stock for a while.

EZZY 02-23-2007 05:39 AM

modding a car can be a fun thing... in most cases anyway, until you hit a "brickwall". make sure you do alot of research/homework and most of us are here to help.... thats what this forum is all about isnt?

katana4eva 02-25-2007 11:43 PM

You guys are really helpful T-T

My knowledge about car is really nothing.

I didn't know how many flywheel rx8 have.. didn't know how ecu work..didn't know where manifold fits..and how it operates.

Still learning! Didn't know there was search button... ( lol ) in this forum... that's one of the reason why i kept asking silly questions. ( just found that out two days ago...T-T )

Thanks heaps for understanding my situation people T-T
