takahashi 06-04-2007 06:13 AM

These two made me laugh the most - for very different reasons...:D:

takahashi 06-04-2007 07:59 PM

RWD Skyline GTR? is there such a thing?

RXP33D 06-04-2007 08:28 PM

I don't know if there is taka,

but that guy does some quick times around Wakefield Park...wait for it....

with NANKANG's!...Simply amazing, they didn't blow up.

I told you Pilot Sports weren't superior.

Haha I know Wokstar (Ying) from when I was on the AU Starlet Club, nice to see a little 1.3L Turbo getting amonst it!

I spose you could have a RWD GTR, if you fiddled with the front diff setup and somehow just had all the power running to the rears.

Don't know why you would want a RWD GTR though?

But my Yoko A048 will be!:fingersx:

It is not all about power at Winton.. That R34 with more than twice the power only did a 1:40.

Xcesive8 06-19-2007 06:17 PM

R32 GTR being the only one you can take the fuse out to engage nearly all drive to rear wheels

R33 and R34 GTR's
You take the front shaft out, its all up i think 8 bolts..
If you got a hoist it'll take you no longer than 15 mins.
Not sure about 34s but 33s its easy to get to.

My 2 cents:uhh:

maybe he was a crap driver :)

auzoom 06-19-2007 08:19 PM

No if you have a look at the winton lap record times you will see that power isnt the most important thing most of the cars up there are small compact cars (the bigger cars there have multi $1000 suspension setups). It has to do with handling, tyre and yes... driver. The nissans are far from the best handling car on the track (hence they are so liked for drifting).

DrewMan 06-22-2007 11:50 PM

so drifting is good with cars with crappy handling?

auzoom 06-23-2007 01:56 AM

Hmmm didnt mean it to sound like that. As an example, a group of us went onto the skid pan and had a lot of trouble getting the car to reliably get the rear end to break out...not break traction as thats just power and the surface was oiled...a bloody 120Y could loose traction there. Even Kevin (the instructor) mentioned that it was hard to get the 8's rear end to break out. Whereas the 180SX there was happily getting the rear end to break out. Controlling that was another issue.

Make more sense?

Cromax 06-23-2007 07:56 PM

Yeah, that does make sense.
