Sorry I can't make it, the last track day was awesome.

I encourage all those wanting to have a fang on the track to give this twilight session a go. James puts on a great evening, you will have a ball.

Refreshments and a light meal will be inclusive of your registration, I'll be in the BLK VW R32 surrounded by a contingency of RX-8's.

Gibbo you'll be dearly missed my friend! We'll just have to wait until the 335 Twin Turbo makes its debut!!!

Cheers

What an awesome event.

For me a whole new track to learn (damn I was the slowest guy on the circuit - but I'll get betterrrrrr). The night time stint was loads of fun can't wait until the next time.

All in all a great evening with a great bunch of guys. Bring on the next one.

Tony, thanks for organising it.

Cheers..... Otto

Question:

Is there lighting to support at the end or it is just finish before the sun set?

OTTO your welcome!....now you know the calibre of guys that come along...I'm glad you met with Paul, he's one sick puppy behind the wheel of an 8 & I've had some awesome track duels with him.....Now he referes to me as the dark side since I jumped into the little VW MKIV R32!!

Guys I had the great fortune of punting a 993 twin turbo through its paces, WOW this thing could rip your retinas out.....and the brakes, OH! the Brakes literally standing the thing on its nose!!
Already in discussion with the event managers about TWILIGHT 2......will keep you posted!
Hey Gibbo you'll have your glory day to initiate BEEMER !!

Hi Taka,

Lighting is provided by your headlights once you leave the main straight. A seriously different perspective when you are driving at your limits.

The session started at 5:00pm and went through until 7:45pm (just before the sun set) and we (the drivers) were given another briefing and then let loose until 9:00pm.

Once the sun went down the adrenalin levels went up and the quality of driving went down. The loss of perspective and visual cues makes it much harder and I had a lot more "Oh Sh#t" moments after it got dark. It was definately a different experience.

Cheers.... Otto
