NSW Attendees at 2007 RX8 Nationals
Now that I'm a definite starter, I thought we may as well have a thread for the NSW attendees to coordinate things like a convoy down and back (for those interested) and any other NSW-centric issues.
Please indicate your interest in convoying down and/or back and we'll set something up.
Would the organisers kindly post a list of the NSW entrants once entries are closed.
For those NSW people who are interested but haven't entered yet, I understand there's still some track spots left, so don't delay any longer.
If you have any other NSW issues to raise, do it here please.

Ummm time had slipped by hadn't it! Posted mine off today.
Dave, I'm thinking an early start Friday for a potential afternoon familiarization? Pretty sure that's Mr Big's" (aka MACCA) plan as well.
Otto? Drew? What're your plans???

I wanna be out of Dodge before the morning peak hour.
Assuming the usual meet up point is chosen again, I'm thinking we meet there 6.30am for a 7.00am departure. Or do you want to go earlier?
Len, thoughts?

There is a rest area on the Hume south of Sydney that has kinda become the default meetup point for cruises heading south.
Assuming everyone agrees, that'll be the jumping off point for the Nats convoy.
I'll post details of location, etc later once people have had some time to consider their options.

Not really. I spoke to Len last weekend and he's broadly in favour of that kind of plan.
I'll post details when I get a chance. There's not much to plan though - just meet up and drive south for 7 hours.
In other words, relax grasshopper. It's all under control, lol.

Early start from the usual meeting point is good for me.
Hey Rod, great to see you can make again
Drive for 7 hours hmmmm. Don't forget a couple of us are nearing the geriatric stage of life. The odd pit stop might be required (LOL)

I'm also thinking some CB's might be good to coordinate unplanned stops and any other emergencies.

We'll probably get there about mid-afternoon I'd say. Haven't discussed it with the troops but I'm in favour of heading straight to the track for a look see and then we'll head for the accommodation once practice is over.

Okay, have dug out the details of the meet up point for those who don't know where it is:
It is a designated rest area on the Hume Highway south of Sydney called the Frank Partridge VC Rest Area.
It is located 36.4kms south of the M5 Toll Plaza (in other words, as you're going through the toll booths on the M5, hit your trip meter and when 36 is coming up look for the blue exit signs - it's hard to miss).
The GPS coordinates are S34°09.423' E150°44.340' for those who want to check that out.
The advantage of this place is that it's en route for just about everybody from NSW and QLD and the interstaters from QLD don't have to leave any main roads to find it. It's got plenty of room, decent toilets and provides an easy place to wait as the clan gathers.
I favour a 7.00am meet for 7.15am departure (which allows us to get there before peak hour starts on the Friday morning). If that's too early or too late, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Suggest everybody who is coming PM's me their mobile phone numbers so I can do a last minute ring around for anybody running late (I have Len and MikeyR's numbers).
