Lightbulb Mini cat

I have a 2004 RX8 with the Racing beat dual resonated pipe. and i'm in need of something to pass emissions. A friend of mine told me of an o2 simulator. I checked the site at www.02sim.com and they said their not taking any orders at the moment.

Has anyone heard of this?
http://bigdaddiesgarage.com/mini-cat-cel-fix.html

And does anyone know if it works?

Or does anyone know of any other solution.

An accessport will mask an engine light code.

A tune with said accessport will 'clean things up'.

i was actually curious on if this thing would work, but no one has taken the plunge yet. I mean it is less like a simulator and more of a tiny catalytic converter that sits on the o2 sensor. I think you should give it a shot and let us know how it works out.

Ive tried both products from bigdaddies garage the one with the mini cat and the one without. The CEL stayed on all the time, I feel I was better off without them because when I had just the mid pipe and no O2 fix the CEL would turn off every now and then.

From the forum some people have had success so its really up to you to risk it, it did not work for me.

Search and find out.

OP asked if anyone had any other solutions; I believe I gave him one.

That is also another option for the OP to try. Worked perfectly fine for me, you can have 1 emissions test marked as incomplete and still pass.

Yep for now, as long as you do not have the sniffer test. Any state should not be doing sniffer tests on 1996 and newer cars, but I guess some still might. Eventually they will smarten up and fix this loophole but that may take them a long long time.
